Whistleblower Donates $2 Million in Ether to WikiLeaks, Claims Chinese Military Uses ‘Brain-Computer Weapons’

A mysterious whistleblower, identified only by the pseudonym “Hu Lezhi,” has sent $2 million worth of Ethereum (ETH) to WikiLeaks, alongside a bizarre and alarming message alleging that the Chinese military is using nano computer chips to control its citizens.

The programmer, who claims to be from China, transferred a total of 711.5 Ether (worth approximately $2 million) to the nonprofit media platform known for publishing sensitive leaked information. In a translated on-chain message sent alongside the donation on February 17, Lezhi stated that brain-computer chips have been “deployed militarily on a large scale” and are being used by military powers to control populations through base stations, radios, and nano-chips.

“Brain-computer chips have been deployed militarily on a large scale. All military powers are using base stations, radios, and nano-brain-computer chips to control all citizens,” Lezhi wrote. They further claimed to have been a victim of these “brain-computer weapons” since birth, adding that the experience had caused them to lose their dignity as a human being. Lezhi expressed a desire to leave the world and for it to be “destroyed soon” due to the alleged abuses.

The programmer also accused two executives from the hedge fund Kuande Investment (known as WizardQuant), Feng Xin and Xu Yuzhi, of using similar “brain-computer weapons” to exert control over their employees.

Transfer Details and Further Allegations

Lezhi’s donation to WikiLeaks came in multiple transfers between February 10 and 17, with the last being a massive 591.6 ETH (approximately $1.6 million) sent on February 17 at 7:13 am UTC. In addition to the donation to WikiLeaks, Lezhi also sent 603 Ether (valued at $1.65 million) to Ethereum's burn address and transferred 700 Ether to the wallet address “ndao.eth” and 33 Ether to an unknown “Grant Provider” address. In total, 2,047 Ether, worth nearly $5.6 million, was transferred by Lezhi.

The strange on-chain messages included in these transactions have sparked further intrigue, though no additional funds have been transferred from the Ethereum address 0x1a19 since the last activity.

The Alleged Role of Kuande Investment

Lezhi’s accusations against Feng Xin and Xu Yuzhi, executives at Kuande Investment (also known as WizardQuant), claim that the two are using similar mind-control technologies within their company.

WizardQuant, founded in 2014, has offices in Shanghai and Beijing, and employs between 51 and 200 people, according to LinkedIn. The company employs quantitative strategies in its research and trading within the stock, futures, and options markets. Feng Xin is the co-founder and chief risk officer, while Xu Yuzhi serves as the company’s chief investment officer.

At the time of writing, there has been no public response from WizardQuant regarding Lezhi’s claims.

A Chilling Revelation

While it remains unclear whether the claims made by Lezhi are factual or the result of an individual in distress, the transfer of such a large sum of cryptocurrency, alongside the alarming allegations, has garnered significant attention. Whether the accusations hold merit or not, this event has underscored the growing intersection of digital assets, activism, and controversial political claims in the online space. As authorities and organizations investigate further, the case continues to raise questions about the role of cryptocurrencies in modern whistleblowing efforts and the power of anonymous online platforms like WikiLeaks.
