Trump Memecoin Wallet Sparks Confusion as Trump Family Denies Involvement

A crypto wallet branded with Donald Trump’s name has ignited a wave of controversy and confusion, as members of the Trump family publicly disavow any connection to the project.
On June 3, Magic Eden, a leading NFT marketplace, announced the launch of “The Official $TRUMP Wallet” in partnership with the team behind the TRUMP memecoin, claiming it was a product linked to former U.S. President Donald Trump. The announcement quickly made headlines across crypto circles.
But within hours, the Trump family issued strong denials.
Trump Family Distances Itself
Donald Trump Jr. was among the first to respond, stating that the Trump Organization had “zero involvement” with the wallet initiative. He clarified that the family’s official Crypto initiative, World Liberty Financial, would be launching a separate, authorized wallet in the near future.
Eric Trump echoed the sentiment, warning Magic Eden to “be extremely careful using our name in a project that has not been approved and is unknown to anyone in our organization.”
Even Barron Trump, making his first-ever post on social platform X (formerly Twitter), weighed in, saying the Trump family has “zero involvement with this wallet.”

'Absolute Chaos' in the Trump Crypto Ecosystem
Crypto watchdog and researcher Molly White called the unfolding situation “absolute chaos,” pointing to apparent miscommunication — or outright conflict — among the different Trump-affiliated crypto ventures.
While the TRUMP token team, Magic Eden, and Magic Eden CEO Jack Lu had all promoted the wallet, none have responded publicly since the backlash from the Trump family.
Who’s Behind the Trump Wallet?
The website for the disputed wallet, which claims to be the “Official $TRUMP Wallet by President Trump,” states that it was developed in partnership with GetTrumpMemes.com. That site is owned by Fight Fight Fight LLC, a company co-owned by CIC Digital LLC — an entity affiliated with the Trump Organization.
Notably, Fight Fight Fight LLC and CIC Digital together hold a majority share of the TRUMP token supply. Businessman Bill Zanker, a longtime Trump associate, is listed in public filings for Fight Fight Fight LLC and has been involved in various Trump-branded crypto and NFT initiatives. These include the Trump NFT collections and an upcoming Monopoly-style blockchain game.
A Pattern of Confusion?
This isn’t the first time that crypto ventures tied to Trump’s name have caused confusion.
In May, Trump Media and Technology Group — the parent company of Trump’s social platform, Truth Social — initially denied reports that it was planning a multibillion-dollar crypto investment strategy. The next day, however, the company reversed course, confirming a $2.5 billion capital raise to purchase Bitcoin via a mix of stock and convertible bond offerings.
