Truemarkets Raises $4M in NFT Sale, Vitalik Buterin Purchases 400 NFTs

ruemarkets, a decentralized prediction platform, has successfully raised $4.03 million through its recent NFT sale, attracting significant attention within the crypto community. The sale included 15,071 Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), each priced at 0.08 Ethereum (ETH), or approximately $250. Among the buyers was Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, who purchased 400 NFTs, valued at around 32 ETH, equivalent to $107,000.

Truemarkets expressed their excitement and gratitude on social media, welcoming Buterin as a key supporter. The company tweeted, “We are beyond thrilled and humbled to welcome Patron @VitalikButerin! Vitalik is a true inspiration who holds a high bar for the projects he chooses to participate in. His participation means the world to us.”

The NFTs sold were part of two main categories: Oracle Patron NFTs and Truth Seeker NFTs. Holders of the Oracle Patron NFTs will be entitled to claim 2,666.67 TRUE tokens during the upcoming launch event. Truemarkets’ tokenomics plan includes allocating 40.3% of its total supply of 100 million TRUE tokens to Oracle Patron NFT holders. The sale of the Oracle Patron NFTs has already sold out, reflecting growing interest in decentralized prediction markets.

Truemarkets aims to follow in the footsteps of platforms like Polymarket, which gained attention for its role in predicting the results of the 2024 U.S.

elections. The platform enables users to place bets on real-world events, combining artificial intelligence and human oracles to create prediction markets around news and entertainment.

The success of the NFT sale not only raised significant capital but also highlighted the potential for blockchain technology to integrate with real-world prediction markets. Supported by Ethereum’s blockchain, Truemarkets has positioned itself as a key player in this emerging space.

Ethereum itself has seen positive performance, trading at $3,331.21, with a notable 76.06% increase in its 24-hour trading volume. Additionally, Ethereum’s decentralized application (dApp) activity surged by 38%, reaching $3.936 billion in transactions, spurred by the growing interest in NFTs and the upcoming EIP-4844 upgrade focused on network scalability.

With backing from prominent figures like Vitalik Buterin, Truemarkets is set to launch its TRUE token and continue advancing its decentralized prediction platform, marking a promising start for the project’s future.
