SEND Arcade Launches NFT Entry Pass for Squad Game Season 2 Inspired by Squid Game

SEND Arcade, a Solana-based platform, has officially launched the second season of its on-chain game, Squad Game, which is inspired by the popular Netflix series Squid Game. Starting December 30, players can mint entry passes for the new season on Magic Eden.

According to an official post on X, SEND Arcade has made a total of 456 Squad Game Season 2 entry passes available for minting, priced at 0.69 SOL each (approximately $133,177 at current rates). The minting process is split into two phases: the first phase is exclusive to whitelisted wallets, specifically those holding more than 50,000 SEND tokens as of the teaser announcement. This phase opens from 13:11 UTC to 16:11 UTC, with a minting limit of two passes per wallet.

The second phase is open to the public, starting at 16:20 UTC. At the time of writing, about 48 out of the 100 available Squad Game passes for the public phase have already been minted, according to the SEND Arcade website.

In an enthusiastic post on X, SEND Arcade encouraged players to mint their passes only if they’re ready to participate or gift them to friends, highlighting the game's limited supply of 456 passes. "Dare to Survive. Send it," the post concluded.

Squad Game is a fully on-chain, interactive survival game where more than 450 players compete in a series of challenges over three weeks, starting in January 2025. Much like the Netflix show Squid Game, the prize pool increases as players are eliminated.

The first round of the game requires players to select one of four symbols—circle, triangle, star, or umbrella. The symbol chosen by the fewest participants becomes the "Death Symbol," eliminating those who selected it. The second round, Red Light, Green Light, is based on the infamous Squid Game challenge, where players must avoid moving during a deadly game of freeze tag.

While the full list of rounds and challenges for Squad Game Season 2 has yet to be revealed, it is expected that the game will feature a mix of old and new challenges, following in the footsteps of Squid Game Season 2, which also introduces both returning and fresh challenges.
