Ethereum Foundation Seeks Social Media Expert to Amplify Its Online Presence

The Ethereum Foundation is ramping up its social media efforts in an effort to strengthen its online presence amidst growing competition in the cryptocurrency market. In an announcement made on February 20, the foundation revealed its search for a social media manager to help amplify the most important developments and stories from the Ethereum ecosystem across major platforms like X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging decentralized networks such as Farcaster, Lens, and Bluesky.
The role, as outlined in the foundation’s job posting, will be pivotal in elevating Ethereum’s visibility, especially as its native token, Ether (ETH), has faced price struggles in recent months compared to competitors like Bitcoin and Solana. While ETH remains a dominant force in the market, its performance has been underwhelming, and Ethereum has received criticism for lacking sufficient developer support in recent years.
As the new social media manager, the successful candidate will be tasked with curating and managing content across various channels, including the @ethereumfndn and @ethereum X accounts— which boast a combined following of over 3.7 million. The role will require close collaboration with the foundation’s leadership team to shape social media strategies, craft compelling narratives, and design campaigns to promote the latest developments within the Ethereum ecosystem.
The foundation is seeking someone who “lives and breathes” Ethereum, demonstrating a deep understanding of the blockchain and its surrounding community. The ideal applicant should have prior experience managing high-profile social media accounts, particularly those with over 10,000 followers, and be well-versed in the workings of social platforms like X, Facebook, and LinkedIn, among others.
