Cronos Labs Partners with Google Cloud to Drive Blockchain Innovation

Google Cloud to become primary cloud provider for Cronos, supporting ecosystem growth and developer engagement.
Cronos Labs, the blockchain accelerator driving innovation within the Cronos ecosystem, has announced a major partnership with Google Cloud. This strategic alliance designates Google Cloud as the primary cloud provider for the Cronos blockchain, reinforcing network stability and expanding opportunities for decentralized applications (dApps).
Accelerating Cronos Ecosystem Growth
As part of the partnership, Google Cloud will serve as a validator on the Cronos network, strengthening the blockchain’s performance, security, and reliability. This integration aims to support Cronos Labs’ mission to boost developer adoption and empower startups by leveraging Google Cloud’s data processing, computing, and AI capabilities.
Ken Timsit, Managing Director at Cronos Labs, highlighted the partnership's benefits: “Google Cloud enhances the security and reliability of the network, makes the Cronos Accelerator program more attractive to startups, and opens new possibilities for dApp innovation through AI and data processing.”
Driving Innovation for Developers and Startups
The collaboration will focus on increasing Cronos and Google Cloud adoption, especially at the intersection of blockchain and AI. The Cronos Accelerator program will also see enhanced support, including value-added packages for startups developing on Cronos.
By joining Cronos' network of 32 validators—which includes notable participants such as Crypto.com, Blockdaemon, Ubisoft, and Exaion—Google Cloud’s infrastructure will help maintain network integrity and secure block verification on the Cronos EVM protocol.
Cronos Labs sees Google Cloud’s involvement as a significant addition to its strategy of collaborating with open-source experts, aiming to drive long-term growth and reliability in the blockchain space.
